Frances Allison

Frances began acting at the Georgian Theatre Royal’s Youth Theatre in Richmond, Yorkshire,  during which time her most memorable roles were Woyzeck in “Woyzeck”, Boudicca in “A Song for a Dark Queen” and Liz in “Our Country’s Good”. At  Hull University she was cast as Alice in Laura Wade’s Alice and performed as part of a physical theatre ensemble in a new imagining of “Oedipus”. Since graduating from Hull University she worked as an acting Assistant Stage Manager on Richmond’s pantomime “Jack and the Beanstalk”, and performed with young companies Junior Adults & Hesitant Strangers.  She joined Indigo Moon Theatre as script writer, co-deviser & performer for “Mermarella – Cinderella of the Sea” and now continues as a London-based freelancer,  working in theatre in education and as a performer and stage manager for various  companies including The Flying Buttresses.
